Overview

The eSafe Certified Professional Course provides you with the in-depth technical information and know-how necessary required to become a professional on Aladdin's eSafe range of products. It provides the technical details necessary to install, configure, and support eSafe products. Those successfully completing the course and the certification exam are recognized as eSafe Certified Professionals (eSCP).

The course includes:

  • A 2-day technical training course delivered by Aladdin certified trainers/instructors.
  • Complete eSafe Student Certification Kit.
  • Intensive Technical hands-on sessions in a lab environment.

Once you have passed the on-line certification exam with 80% or above, you will become an eSafe Certified Professional (eSCP). Benefits to the eSCP certification include:

  • Access to the Aladdin Partners Portal, where you can access:
    • Additional restricted technical documentation and marketing materials
    • Aladdin’s Knowledge Base for Partners (containing many more articles than the public Knowledge Base)
    • Technical Support Case management
    • Customer and Sales management
  • Ability to download eSafe beta and managed availability releases.
  • Subscription to a priority mailing list for announcements of Virus/Vandal alerts, updates and upgrades.

Who Should Attend

If you're responsible for designing, implementing, supporting or managing Internet content security with Aladdin's eSafe products, then this course is for you.

Course Objectives

At the end of this course, each participant will be expected to be able to:

  • Analyze the current state of a customer network environment, as well as the customer's needs.
  • Be aware of the various eSafe family solutions in order to Analyze customer needs.
  • Define a desired future network environment where eSafe can fill the customer's needs.
  • Evaluate how eSafe can fill customer needs.
  • Prepare a preliminary plan for installing and configuring eSafe products on a customer's network.
  • Understand the physical resources and system support required to install and configure eSafe products.
  • Install and configure eSafe in a controlled test environment.
  • Install and configure eSafe in a live environment.
  • Be familiar with the internals of eSafe and perform basic troubleshooting.

Prerequisites

The following knowledge, experience, and achievements are required in order to participate in the eSafe Certified Professional Course:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows NT/2000 or Red Hat Linux maintenance.
  • Solid knowledge of networking essentials.
  • General network security knowledge.
  • Familiarity with malicious code security including viruses, spyware, etc.
  • Completion of the eSafe Certified Administrator Course or CBT, and passing the eSafe Administrator CBT Verification Exam.

Cancellation Terms

  • Less than 15 days, Aladdin reserves the right to charge 100% of total fees.
  • In order to cancel a reservation without occurring fees, Aladdin must receive and confirm a written cancellation request on or before 15 days of prior to class start.
  • In the event Aladdin would need to cancel a class due to headcount, customers will be notified a minimum of 15 days in advance.
